Just a quick blog post letting you all know that the preloaders have now been fixed.
There was an issue on our servers that has now been resolved relating to file compression.
It was making some older games unplayable (like The Bucket).
We have automatically cleaned the cache of games that were affected so there is nothing you will need to do to see the changes we have made besides playing the games!

This week's Pixel Love game is Sector 21!
For those of you who enjoyed playing Gravity Duck, this game has a similar gravity twisting mechanic. The levels get progressively more and more advanced in terms of testing your skills against the platforming puzzles.
We like the fact the restarts are so quick (we failed a lot during our play sessions :))

We have got so much going on here at Nitrome that we nearly forgot to mention that we'll be giving you brand new xmas avatars to track down and collect! Woohoo! You can expect these to be released daily through December, so check out the blog for clues as the are released!
It looked like you had a lot of fun last year, so we have brought it back and have got some really interesting and funny ones lined up for you to collect. Markus has been hard at work drawing up some brand new avatars too... Oh, and a whole new Christmas skin!

We've just uploaded a new version of the Endless Doves game for the website.
This new version should resolve the highscore spam issue. We flushed the scoreboard too, but you can just re-submit your score upon crashing the character and it will be back in the scoreboard!

Today's Pixel Love game is Stakes by Folmer Kelly.
For those of you that are familiar with the concept of "puzzle blocks as platforms", such as all of you Super Puzzle Platformer veterans, you'll be more than at home in this great little game.
This one introduces some very interesting ideas like cannons, and spikes as platforms.
We really like the retro aesthetic in this one.
