Today's Pixel Love game comes from a Ludum Dare entry titled This Is Not A Minimalist Game by Volute

The dialogue in this game is very humorous. You start the game as a player on a quest to collect 100 wizard heads to buy new stuff. Things soon take a very interesting turn!

Today's Pixel Love game is... The Love Letter made by Pat Kemp, axcho and Teo Acosta!

This is such a sweet little game about, well... a love letter from a secret admirer. Can you read it all secretly without any of your friends catching you?

The graphics are very slick, the controls are very simple and the music is wonderful. This was a real joy to experience, so we thought we would feature it this week.

Today's Pixel Love game is a real classic. Do you remember Dino Run by Pixel Jam? Of course you do!

Well, they have also released the "Marathon of Doom" edition of the game in which you tirelessly try to avoid becoming extinct!

The sounds are awesome, the artwork animation is fluid and you really get a sense of urgency and excitement in this as you try to skillfully surf the edge of doom!

Time for a Pixel Love Game!

Do you remember when we featured the puzzle game Abduction? Well, the creators of that have made yet another awesome game called Minibot!

You play through as the mini robot tasked to cure the virus inside a young girl.

You create the extra platform blocks, which are needed to complete the levels, by absorbing and normalizing different materials. This means each material gives your blocks different properties (such as turning the platform block into a spring).

The graphics are very well drawn, animated and the puzzles are well thought out. We had a lot of fun playing this one.

Play Give Up , Robot!

Hi Nitromians,

Today's Pixel Love game is Give Up, Robot which was created by Matt Thorson.

The antagonist in this one will be resoundingly similar to the Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System (a.k.a GladOS) from Portal.

You navigate the levels with your awesome grappling rope skills that you may have picked up from our game, Final Ninja.

We really like the haziness and psychedelic style of the artwork in this game. The sound design is also done very well with the antagonist sounding very cold with use of vocoded audio.

A quick word of warning:
The game makes use of vibrant flashing colours and lights in it's level design.

Today's Pixel Love game is Howmonica by Spydog!

Be warned - This is a very addictive puzzle game with a lot of puzzles that are very satisfying to solve.

You can solve many of the puzzles with clever usage of vertical wrapping in the levels.

We feel that the game really picks up difficulty when you get introduced to portals and trampoline blocks. The game also has some really nice retro music to listen to as you play.

Hi Nitromians!

This week's Pixel Love game comes in the form of Bump by one of Nitrome's very own flash programmers Aaron Steed.

Bump, created for the 7 day roguelike (7DRL) challenge, is an interestingly fresh concept of a turn based platformer with randomly generated levels. We feel Aaron has done a great job with this.

We found it to be a very addictive little game and have spent a lot of time beating our highest scores by planning and perfecting our routes through the randomly generated levels more carefully.

No? Well there is no pleasing you then. Thankfully those of you who do will enjoy this week's pixel love game. Random Heroes by the talented folks over at Woblyware. A solid run jump and shooter in which you must save the city from a horde of alien un-dead cyborg g zombies

It reminds us of the metal slug series, with plenty of gun and running, upgrades, secrets and bosses. With great music and nicely crafted pixel art...Need we really say more.

This really is something special. It caught our attention through its wonderful puzzle elements involving time shifts and the use of seasonal changes to help stop a calamity.

The music in this is a wonderful accent to the games already engrossing atmosphere.

Today's pixel love game comes in the form of a tactical shooter, Counter Terror by Moon Loop!

This is quite a fun little shooter with plenty of objects and scenery pieces to smash through.

The dialogue is also really fun to read through thanks to the comedy value that it holds. The graphics are well drawn too

A quick word of warning though, this game contains some red pixels that represent blood :)

Today’s Pixel Love game is… Revive by JonBro

The great thing about Revive and the reason it was chosen as today's Pixel Love game, is that it has plenty of mind bending puzzles. We don’t really want to spoil anything, but you will need to make clever use of those spikes!

It has a really nice selection of chip tune music that sounds great sits really well in the game.

You may have already guessed (through recent 'test chamber' genre of Pixel Love choices) that we are also very excited about our own project Test Subject Complete!

We've chosen Abduction by Fliptic as todays pixel love game!

This game has some really nice artwork and animations with some really fun gameplay. Your task is to amuse your alien abductors by completing a series of puzzles.

We enjoyed playing through and defeating the number of obstacles that quickly ramp up to thwart your success.

Be advised that there is a cartoonish 'head pop' animation that, although animated wonderfully by the artist, may not be for some of our fans.

Time for some Pixel Love!

This week we have decided to highlight the awesome game Qoosh developed by Aethos Games!

Veterans of the Portal series will be in somewhat familiar territory here in that you are tasked with solving a series of tests.

The game progresses very elegantly with the puzzle complexity intuitively rising so that you'll find yourself having many 'Aha!' moments throughout.

We really love the dialogue with the antagonist in this too!

This week's pixel love comes in the form a very endearing game in which you play as the pet of an elderly lady.

Perspective by nfyre.

The game asks you to look at the enemies and blocks in the environment with a change of perspective.

As you progress through the levels you find out more and more about the characters and the friendship which they share.

The game has well made, laid back ambient music, which really adds to the games atmosphere and depth.

Todays Pixel Love game is Uirdz!

Uirdz is a game created by Eric Rosenzweig that involves the clever usage of instructional messages on the game screen.

The messages are both clues to help you figure out ways in completing levels AND platforms that you can place down for actually solving them! Sometimes the words can even take on special properties (e.g. "UP" becomes a moving platform).

We are really taken by this unique idea and thought we'd feature it as today's Pixel Love game.

Welcome back to another Monday edition of Pixel love Nitromian’s.

This week we will be highlighting a rather neat little game Recursion, a cool little retro puzzle platformer by The Village Blacksmith.

After crash landing on an alien planet it is your task to make it to the end flag in a series of one screen puzzles.

Any fan of the portal genre will be instantly at home here with the games one screen wrapping formula. (Think falling into a pit and back onto the top of the screen again). Throw in tons of variety including enemies, switches, balloons, collectable stars, bubbles, gravity manipulation and you’re in for a treat.

Today we have chosen a very interesting pixel love game called Next Please created by Vyacheslav Stepanov.

We thought that the core game mechanic was very clever in this puzzle platformer.

You are playing as both the hero and the environment. Turn your character into solid platforms to reach out to higher places and destroy them again when they get in your way.
