We are happy to announce that Test Subject Complete is now out for your delectation. This is the 3rd and final part to the Test Subject Story. (Test Subject Blue, Test Subject Green)

As we indicated in the trailer that went online a couple of weeks ago, Blue must escape the cage and discover what happened to the professor and quite possibly save the world!

Plunger is an action puzzler of a game with a unique plunger mechanic. Throw your plungers up, down, left and right but be careful where they land... who knows what might happen!

Bad Ice-cream 2 - just in the lick of time!

Hi Nitromians,

We have been working very hard to try and get Bad Ice-Cream 2 ready for launch before we break today for Christmas! We have managed it just in the lick of time but in order to make the date we had to sadly leave one very important aspect out which is Touchy support.

We have been working to get it in and it almost worked but we had a lot of bugs with it so it was very unstable. With it having to come out today we had the choice of launching without or delaying the release until after New Year. We hope you agree we made the best choice possible and we will update the game with full 4 player Touchy support as soon as we are back in the office.

Nitrome Touchy Released!

Hello to all you good good people out there!

Well today is a big day... no not because it’s Halloween, however we do have a treat for you! We’ve been working hard in our humble Nitrome office and are proud to announce…

NITROME TOUCHY IS NOW LIVE! Oh yeah!

We have 10 games that can be played through your browser with the Nitrome Touchy app. Just download the app from the iTunes App Store and try it out on Super Snotput. You can then upgrade the app through one in-app-purchase to unlock all the other games that are available. We are also working on releasing more Touchy compatible games, there will be 20 more coming out within the next 6 months.

For all you Android lovers out there, an android version will be coming soon. (We’re working on it as we speak, and will keep you updated).

Flightless Demo Released!

Ok so hopefully we managed to surprise you with this!

Flightless will be, with your help, our first full PC download game available through Steam!
The game is an epic puzzle metrovania platform game for one or two players drop in drop out co-op split screen! You play as ducks that have had their wings clipped for stealing and to pay it back you must search for gems to pay back your debt in a huge dungeon full of monsters and traps.

With clipped wings flying and even jumping are not possible but luckily you have a magic ladder to help you out. Press the action key and it will cast a ladder upwards or downwards until it hits something.

Use this to climb round the levels, take out enemies, trigger switches, weigh down pressure pads, bend round corners (what?) and much more!

Did we mention you can play this game full screen and that there are no ads…..what!!! No really as this is intended as a free flash game we are going all out to promote it!

It’s a fairly typical everyday affair...You take control of the brave red knight in his dangerous quest to save the princess from the evil sorcerer.

However...This dungeon is not what it first appears to be, you must make your moves wisely and keep a close eye on your enemies if your are to prevail...Make one wrong ‘turn’ and all will be lost...

We have a super special game release for you today Hot Air Jr!

This game is one that we hold close to our hearts it being based on our first ever game.

We have tried really hard to mould this franchise into something we think is truly AWSOME. It’s what Hot Air could have been had we had the skills that we have acquired over our years at the Nitrome games studio.

Gone are the twitchy hard as nails levels of its predecessors, being replaced with tons of variety and set pieces on every level. We truly hope you love this game half as much as we do.

Hot Air Jr Demo Released!

Here it is Nitromians!

The demo we promised this week is from our upcoming game Hot Air Jr!

We are really happy with the original Hot Air games and we have taken the concept of guiding your balloon through dangerous environments with your fan whilst also trying to give Hot Air Jr a nice balance in terms of difficulty.

Something we noticed in the original Hot Air games was just how unforgiving they were, so with that in mind, Hot Air Jr is being developed to give users some areas to rest and think about the obstacles ahead without always having to worry about the constant spikes! :)

We would really like to know what you all think of the game engine so far, as your feedback could help us make the game even better.

Please note that this demo arena is not a level from the final game. The arena has been created for you all to have some fun, get to know the controls and explore the game and the game engine!

Gunbrick Released!

Hi Nitromians!

We've just added a brand new game release to our site and one that we have never spoke of until now... it's been a bit of a secret experimental project :)

This is our very first ever game that you can actually play within the icon itself, so you don't have to go to another page to play it. For those who prefer the games bigger, you can still play the game here at full size, but we recommend checking it out within the icon on the front page for the real teeny tiny affect!

Because the game had to fit within the icon, we have had to squeeze the game into just 50x50 pixels! It was both a lot of fun and a challenge to see what we could do within this limitation.

Ok so I guess we should tell you about Gunbrick itself! You control the gun-brick, a square block that can rotate left and right. One surface on the square block has a shield and the opposite side has a gun and by orienting yourself into the correct direction, you can shoot things, block things, shunt yourself sideways and even rocket jump!

Can you make it through the 10 challenging levels and pass the devilish boss?
