Accounts have been officially launched! Hurray!
Sorry about the false start we had last week, we tried our best to deliver but there was an overwhelming amount of issues!
We'll be keeping an eye on the system for any bugs that arise and will be adjusting things accordingly as we go. We want to make this the best experience that we can!

We are currently ready to start testing out our game pages with account features!
You may have noticed that some of the games will now have the 'Avatar Ticker' in them ready for avatar features, if you do not see them yet, please clear your cache!
We are aware that some visitors have reported being re-routed through to our registration page when trying to play a game on Nitrome, this shouldn't have happened and we are still trying to find the cause of this.
If the bug still happens for you, please report it to us on our Facebook page. This is one of those bugs that we can't really reproduce without first going live on the game pages.

Hi Nitromians,
Some of you may have noticed that we briefly launched accounts earlier today. Well we are sorry to say that due to an overwhelming level of bugs that came up at launch we have had to take them back down while we investigate what went wrong. We are sorry to disappoint you with this and we did fully intend to have ready for to you this week.
Believe us when we say your not as sorry as us.
The good news is that we feel fairly positive that whatever went wrong should be sortable by early next week... maybe even Monday with a bit of luck. So cross your fingers for us and we will see you all next week. We should also have some more Touchy news regarding the 2.0 update coming soon and some news for what we have been working on post-launch with Icebreaker!

We're launching accounts next week! Hurray!

That's right, we are just about ready to start rolling out the accounts system for you all. We know it has been a loooong time coming (It was a pretty deep system update for us). Being as thorough as we have been should allow us to start introducing more features down the line more quickly.
As we spoke about this in previous account related articles, this first revision will be the foundations upon which we will build.
One of the things you'll notice we focused on in the video is the ability to find Avatars in games. We have been getting a lot of enjoyment from adding these in to our games, we hope it translates into the experience you'll have when trying to find them all!
Again, we should also stress here that we really want to iron out any of those early bugs, that you inevitably find in any system this size, before we start loading down the servers with even heavier features. Game Saving for instance. No one wants to lose their game saves. Rest assured that we have already looked into this to find the best ways to handle saves ;)

This is a very clever puzzler in which you utilize light sources to bend the environment around your needs and make your way to the exit.
Use lamps to make platforms disappear and move blocks around levels.

Hi Nitromians!
Well yesterday was a very special day for us at Nitrome. We managed to be the #1 game in the US app store for iPhone and #2 for iPad. UK we managed #1 for both iPhone and iPad! We also hit the number 1 spot in lots of other territories.
We are truly humbled by the response our game has got and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has supported us and bought the game.
We could currently do with more reviews (preferably of the 5 star variety ;)) as we seem a little light in that department compared to other games that launched.
To anyone who bought the game and enjoyed it, if you could please leave us a review...it really helps give other potential customers confidence that the game is worth buying.

We are thrilled to be finally able to announce that Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage is 100% complete! It has already been submitted to Apple and been approved too!
It will be out on the 20th of June... that’s THIS THURSDAY!!!!!
We have an action packed week lined up for you between now and launch and we will be posting something Icebreaker related every day so come back tomorrow :)
