It’s Friday and what does that mean… well something slightly different this time.
We are very proud to announce that the Nitrome Touchy App on iTunes and Google Play has been updated. So what does that mean to you the humble gamer? Well you can check out the video... or read on, or why not do both!!!
The Touchy technology has been updated and now we feel that the Touchy dpad is the best touch screen dpad interface on the market! All of our previous dpad based Touchy games have been updated. Also we must add that there is now wide screen support for iPhone5 and various Android devices.
And that’s not all! We have 5 more games that have been added to the Nitrome Touchy Catalogue. They are as follows:

It's Wednesday already! Where has the week gone!
So today we wanted to tell you guys that we're working on a sequel to Test Subject Arena, yes... we are making Test Subject Arena 2!!! And this time you get to choose from 8 characters to play as!
So we will tell you more about this new game soon enough but for now we thought we’d wet your appetites by showing you a couple of new character animations from the game.

Exciting news Nitromians!
We have not one but TWO updates currently being worked on for Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage. One of those is the next level pack, which is coming along very nicely (more news on that later). Before the pack update however we have another update which is pretty special in its own right. There will be various little tweaks to the main game in the update, but the major element we are adding is achievements. However in the usual Nitrome fashion, we are approaching it slightly differently to everyone else.
The Achievements will be recorded in game centre (and Google Play Games when the Android version hits), but the actual system is much more integrated into the game world. Meaning if you don’t want to use game centre for any reason they’ll function fine and you can still collect them all.

We have fixed some more account bugs! Just to keep you all up to date with what we feel has been fixed, check out this list.
Account Bug Fixes:
Private Messages should now display correctly. Some people have reported to us that their messages were disappearing for no reason. This should now be resolved! Unhearting games should also work as expected. If you have tried to unheart a game and it didn't remove itself from your list, try hearting and unhearting it again and it should work. The "Touchy" skin has also been fixed. We received reports that the skin was not working as intended and was only showing a small tile when viewed on the "view skin" page. This should now be working properly.We still have more bugs to fix, thanks to everyone for reporting them to us!

This week's pixel love game is Sydney Hunter created by Keith Erickson of Studio Pina!
We really enjoyed this adventure game. The view distance was handled cleverly with the viewable area fading into a deep blue tone. It adds a real sense of urgency when trying to aim your boomerang attacks.
The music and sound effects fit in very well with this game and accent the retro graphics elegantly. There is a lot of fun to be had boomeranging the enemies and collecting the items in this one!

We are steadily moving through the list of bugs that we have found within the accounts system. Please feel free to add comments reporting more bugs below or over on Facebook.
The more we know about your experiences, the better we can diagnose problems. Try to give us your operating system and browser version when reporting bugs so that we can better pin point errors.
Issues that we have resolved:
You can now unlock the avatar with the hint - "You could do with being a little more... social? Why not invite some friends round!" You can collect the "Heart 100 Games" badge The icon games will now work within their icons on the home page and game selection pages. In the blog/all comments sections, you can now click on the top level user avatar to be taken to their profile page. We have added the login box to more pages on the site. There are still some missing. We will get round to all pages. We have fixed various redirection bugs in the profile section of the site. We have cleaned up some style issues on the avatars and badge pages.We will be retrofitting the badge and avatar mentioned above to users possibly tomorrow or next week. So if you feel you have performed the correct actions to gain these, you could be unlocking a new avatar/badge soon! We'll let you know as soons as we roll out this update :)
Thanks for helping us get the bugs fixed. We will keep you informed on any more updates!

It has been a while since we posted any fan art, so we thought that today we'd share some cool art that we found.
Made by a Nitromian that goes by the name Tooniefox on deviantart, this piece of fan art features Parasite from our Parasite Game.
We think that the detail and effort that has gone into this has really paid off, we especially like the colour choices!
