Welcome to the Rustyard.... the result of years of neglect. All that's left in this world of throwaway scrap are the robots that once used to help with our everyday tasks... They continue on as if nothing had changed!
Help the robot get to the end of each level by using your mouse to manipulate the junk that has been sitting there collecting dust for centuries.

We're very pleased to announce that we won a "mochi" last week from the Flash Gaming Summit which took place in San Francisco. We won the award for Best Family Game for Skywire 2! Check out this link to see a showreel of the nominated games, and to see the winners in all of the categories.
We'd like to say thanks very much to the Flash Gaming Summit for hosting this event dedicated to Flash games.
A few of you might have noticed that there were issues accessing the website last weekend. We are still unsure as to what caused these problems but they seem to be fully resolved now. We're really sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused. Thanks to everyone who emailed in to let us know about the problem! If any of you are still experiencing problems then please try clearing your browser cache and reloading the page. If the problems still persist then please contact us letting us know which pages are affected.
Following up from our last Works blog post we have now swapped over all of the games to the new website hosting. As we mentioned before this may effect the levels unlocked in these games but you should be able to retrieve them by following the steps listed here.
On a positive note we now have all of the highscores in the games working again!
We should also be ready to launch a new game very soon.
We thought we would show you some more of the creations that people have been sending in to us.
First of all we have to give a huge shout out to Adam of Cheesy Productions who has been making a lot of videos about us on YouTube. He has posted video reviews of 39 of our games so far and even shown how to play some our games using a joystick and a steering wheel plugged into his computer! We didn't even know that was possible!
There are a couple of new nitrome-themed comics:
Nitromee comic by Kim B
Various Nitrome comics by MJ Hunt
...and some more artwork:
Final Ninja by micro-bullet
Nitrome in vector by Giorgos93
Nitrome pixel art by Simon
Finally the image you can see here is a model of the guy from Toxic made out of clay! It was sent in to us by Conal.
Thanks to everyone for all of their hard work!
Hooray! We are very pleased to announce that we have been nominated in two categories in The Mochis - a Flash Games awards ceremony at the new and very exciting Flash Gaming Summit event! The first event dedicated only to Flash games.
Final Ninja has been nominated in the "Best Commercial Game" category and Skywire 2 has been nominated in the "Best Family Game" category. Anyway we recommend that you take a look at all of the fantastic games that have been nominated this year - you can also vote for your favourite game in the People's Choice award here.
Ooh look we have a new banner... yay!
Unfortunately it's not for anything that exciting... It's more practical. There are some more interesting categories coming!
This new category in the blog is going to let you know about any maintenance work to the site or games. So for example if we make an update to fix a bug in a game we will let you know here.
Recently a few of you might have noticed that the site has been acting a bit wonky. Our old hosting wasn't really up to the task of serving the games to all of you so we have been swapping over to a new server solution with the friendly folk at Peer 1.
Swapping hosting is never without its problems though and this one has had its fair share of teething problems. It's mostly sorted out now but we want to quickly let you know what has been fixed and what we are planning to fix soon.
Most importantly you should all have noticed that the site is loading a lot faster than it did before thanks to Peer1's whizzy content delivery network.
What most of you will have also noticed is that some of your game saves have disappeared. This is an unfortunate side-effect of the swap that couldn't have been avoided - but not to worry, help is at hand. If you really need to retrieve your game saves we've written a handy little tutorial here. There are some games that haven't been affected yet: Mirror Image, Twin Shot, Flash Cat, Icebreaker, Frost Bite 2, Numbskull, Fat Cat, Flipside and Toxic 2. We will have to swap these games over soon but we thought we'd give you all a little advance warning on the latest games to lessen the blow.
Another important thing that is not working yet is the highscores. We are aware of this and we are working on a fix at the moment so please bear with us.
You might also notice that the Balloon Maker has disappeared. Unfortunately this became so popular that the number of balloons created grew to such a size that we were unable to retrieve the files to swap them over to the new hosting. You guys made over 10 million balloons!! At the present time we are not sure what is going to happen with the balloon maker however we might resurrect it at some point in the future.
Finally we know a few of you have been asking us why we haven't updated the skin in a while... It's because we've been busy swapping the site. We do have a new one coming pretty soon now though so look out for that!
Phew! That's it for now - we will try to keep you all updated.
What's this I see coming in the near future? It's all hazy and a little bit pixelly...
...It seems to be a follow up to one of those crazy Nitrome games but I wonder which one...
...Oh well I guess we will just have to wait and see what the tide brings in. All will be revealed in time...
Welcome to the Glassworks! Here we make all kinds of wonderful things out of glass like windows and........erm.......well actually just windows but we make them in all shapes and sizes!
Take control of bored worker Kapowski in his efforts to reach the top of the Glassworks corporation using his tailor made climbing gloves. Be sure to watch out for work hazards such as machinery and the dreaded bird poop! Manoeuvre round to the other side of the glass if it makes things easier to pass!

We've just noticed that we received a couple of awards from Jay Is Games in their Best Of 2008 feature. We came joint first place in the platform category for Final Ninja, sharing the award with the fantastic Pieces game by Soybean. We also got some Audience Awards for Skywire 2, One Key, and Mutiny so thanks to everyone who voted for us!
Our latest game Twin Shot has just been launched! Use your trusty bow and arrow to defend yourself against the monsters. You can also fire arrows into walls to make platforms that you can walk on and reach higher places to fire from.
Why not buddy up for some two-player action... see how many rounds you can win!
UPDATE: A few people mentioned to us that using the Ctrl key to fire caused problems in some browsers. We have now fixed this issue by allowing the player to use SPACE instead of Ctrl (this works in both 1-player and 2-player game modes)
